Read the following message below where Habakkuk would Kneel in Prayer and Rise in Paper. This is my challenge to believers who fill many buildings in Africa with songs and prayers but have written no books whatsoever. Indeed our God has time to say: “Write these things” and this instruction has been given to many prophets in the bible and the most disobeyed instruction in Africa: Kneel in Prayer and Rise in Paper.
And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Habakkuk 2:2-3 KJV
There are many of us in the shoes of this Prophetic Scribe called Habakkuk facing real day to day overwhelming situations that seem to be cast on stone and as though they will stay forever. These challenges look as though they have received both the permissions of heavens as well as the United Nations to do as they like over nations. Praying about them seem to be just another waste of time
The case of Babylon Empire the greatest civilization on earth, the greatest army in the world and the genocide it committed to nations through its fighting and economic machinery which had become unstoppable.
Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?
Habakkuk 1:17 KJV
Have you ever faced a situation that would secure its place to your life so firmly, and you become voiceless when trying to express the daily injustices you face? When there is no one to hear you, when powers beyond you will buy the highest courts not to hear tour case? This was Habakkuk’s case. But this burden did not move away from his mind mot even a single day. Nations around had failed them up until even the word failure wanted to exonerate itself from that case.
Habakkuk takes the case of this Empire to the Heavens courts for no nation at the time had power to bring them to the Hague of their days.
He reports their size of army and the violence and injustices they are licensed to commit from nation to nation:
Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat. They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.
Habakkuk 1:8-9 KJV
There was a time when Hitler declared himself the Chosen One. He might have been chosen to turn the fortunes of Germany around but not to massacre 10 million people. Even Britain did not want to face him the world looked on the other side. The first world war was very costly and no one wanted another war.
Now Habakkuk knew that even the great prophet Jeremiah called Nebuchadnezar the chosen of God:
And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.
Jeremiah 27:6 KJV
This leader went beyond the mandate to destroy that which he was to protect. Ironically so did President Trump, he declared himself this month The Chosen One.
Habakkuk says Oh God your eyes are too pure to look at the violence committed by this people
Art thou not from everlasting, O Lord my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O Lord , thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction. Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
Habakkuk 1:12-13 KJV
He says he has never seen human trafficking in such big numbers as though nations are fishes in nets:
They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad. Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous. Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?
Habakkuk 1:15-17 KJV
He is trying to convince God to do something about it. It is a very desperate prayer. He goes on to ask God why He let’s him see these injustices:
Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
Habakkuk 1:3 KJV
Nothing has changed today. It is as though God is doing nothing in the face of these injustices and crimes committed by the powerful and the wicked alike. Destinies of many feel trapped in the nets of these wicked people. It might not be at the Empire level like Habakkuk but you may end up doing written prayers like him waiting for an answer one day. He thought that God will send the greatest of Heavens armies…….
But God presents him with pen and paper…
And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
Habakkuk 2:2 KJV
Where is your pen and paper? How clear is your vision? Can.it make a family run? Can it make nations run?
Can Africa take a pen and paper? Van they write something that will make many nations to run when they read? God says to Habakkuk, I will give you a Media Empire that will shake all the nations away from the oppression of Babylon. You shall overtake the propaganda of this great Empire. You shall tell a story that everyone will want to listen. Only if you close your mouth and write.
As a person why don’t you put everything in paper. God says, you have been putting everything in prayer now it’s time you put everything in paper. Yes Africa prays too much but they write nothing. We do not rise from prayer with a vision that will speak for itself. The Lord says today: Kneel in Prayer and Rise in Paper!
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Habakkuk 2:3 KJV
I write this session in the time of high tension and xenophobic attacks in South Africa. A time of great poverty among Africans and lack of vision among leaders. If these generations had something to read from their forebears; if Africans can Rise in Paper and write their own vision. We fight because we are running on someone else’s vision and we do not understand that vision either. If African Prophets will stop chasing profit and begin to write like Habakkuk; we need a story from God; our own story… Write these things…..Kneel in Prayer and Rise in Paper….
