Session 2 - Believing in The Son - Part1
There are claims that I made in the previous section and I did not come with scripture.
This is the claim I made: People find it easy to accept the Lord Jesus but they find it difficult to believe in the Son Jesus.
The second statement I have made is that Jesus was tested by Satan on His Sonship rather than on His Lordship.
The third statement I made was that Jesus has been presented to us as Son and He also presented Himself to us as Son.
I want to add together scriptures that will support the statements above.
Allow me first to show you scriptures that talks about believing in Jesus the Son:
1 John 5:10-10
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. This scripture does not say: He that believeth in Jesus.
Neither does it say: He that believeth Jesus as Lord.
We have interchanged Names and Words. Where we see Son we have replaced with Jesus or Lord or Christ and we say it is the same thing.
Let us observe more scriptures:
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
When we receive salvation we confess with our mouth and say: Jesus is Lord! And we believe in the Risen Lord! Therefore our Salvation required the acknowledgment of His Lordship. But I want you to take note of the Apostle John the closest to Jesus.
Take your pen and underline the Word Son and return to let me know how many times you saw it.
1. 1 John 5:10-10
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. When it comes to the Witness In Us we need The Son. Fellowship with The Son.
2. 1 John 4:10-10
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins.
When it comes to experience Father’s Love and Propitiation for our sins we need the Son. Note the difference. For Salvation we need Lord!
For Love of Father and forgiveness of sin we need Son.
3. 1 John 4:15-15
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. When you confess Jesus as Son you get Fellowship
1. Salvation – Lord
2. Love – Son
3. Forgiveness.- Son
4. Fellowship – Son
I hope you still follow this.
I am driving to a point that there are things that Father God wants to give to His Sons who will first confess and believe in His Son.
We are so easy to believe in Salvation; Healing; Spiritual Gifts but very difficult to believe in Love; Forgiveness and Fellowship. Ever noticed?
There are certain things that the Master wants to give to Servants and that is Salvation; Healing and Spiritual Gifts (in order to work in the Kingdom) but there are also things that the Father would like to give to the Sons which is Love; Forgiveness; Fellowship and many more so as to Inherit in the Kingdom.
As Servants we have to Labor in the Kingdom and as Sons we have to Inherit the Kingdom. We find it easy to believe the former but very difficult to believe the latter.
In the third installment I will show you the importance of believing in The Son. Shalom.
Peace be unto you
