The Gospel of John and sonship Session 11
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John 1:6-12 KJV
We have spoken at length about this man whom the early scholars settled to call him John The Baptist, when his mandate was far beyond baptizing.
We examined Prophet John’s role as a father who came to turn the hearts of fathers to sons as well as the hearts of sons to fathers.
We saw that he began with his own father as a toddler as the angels worked out in first turning the heart of Prophet John’s father to his son.
We now know that this was an account of John the Apostle speaking about John the Last Prophet before Jesus was born.
Our main story of this conference is about Jesus whom the Book of John gave close to 27 Names and we have since probed that all these Names were paving a way to the Name above all other Names which is Son.
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 1:10-13 KJV
How would you feel if you bought a house and invited a family to stay in it then one night you come knock in that house and no one open because they don’t know you?
Would you not become furious? Would you not request this family to exit your house?
“He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.”
It must take the greatest humility in the universe to accept refusal of entry from those who are in your world, let alone those who are made by you.
It must equally take the greatest pride and greatest level of witchcraft in the world to refuse your maker even the landlord of the earth you dwell in.
2 Kings 2:23 And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.
2 Kings 2:24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.
This is how prophets respond when they are refused and even mocked at by others and yet they did not create the world.
This practice continue to this present day where there are prophets who would boast of cursing people who reject them and even those who leave their churches.
Psalm 24:1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
When David reminded us that the earth is the Lords and all those who live in it; he was building a specific case in the verses to come.
Psalm 24:2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
Have you seen the fury of a man who is refused by a woman that he found naked and hungry and then when she had it all; she decides to leave him?
David is building a case that the Lord is unstoppable; no one can close the gates of this earth for Him.
Psalm 24:3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
These of John 1 do not only stand to face him; they reject him, they remove him out of the living. They crucify him and send him to the grave in his own earth which he made.
Matthew 26: 52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. 53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
Why did Jesus have this level of patience even to the point of death to accomplish His mission.
Why this level of humility against this level of arrogance? We have seen that prophets would not take this level of humiliation!
That is why God did not send a prophet, but a Son so as to accomplish the following mission:
John 1: 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Verse 12 shows the prize that Jesus was looking at.
That is why it begins with a BUT; because He refused to be distracted by those who refuse Him.
God sent a Son to bring many sons back home.
He was coming to bring many sons to the Father.
This mission is the biggest mission.
When you are coming to take members to a church you shall have it easy.
But when you are coming to take Sons you shall be crucified.
Do not compete with all those who have come to call members to their denominations.
Bringing sons home will cost you everything.
It cost the Father His Son; His Son is Everything He has.
All things were made through His Son and He had to lose All Things (His Son) in order to gain us back as Sons.
To bring Sons Home you don’t open the Red Sea as the Father but you split your Own Son open.
To brings Sons Home you use all the resources and The Son is all all the resources.
We are called to this same mandate.
We are bringing Sons home and it will not take just another concert with refreshments; it will take everything.
